Illustrator

Renee's start in the art world began as she was developing her drawing and observation skills as a fine artist. She soon discovered the technical skills that she had honed as a graphic artist were a perfect fit as a nature and sciences illustrator.
Renee has earned certification and degrees in commercial art, graphic design and botanical illustration. 

Illuminator

With reverence to the art of Medieval Illumination, Renee has focused on the study of the processes of illuminated manuscripts while developing her own style of modern design and the illuminated alphabet.

Calligrapher

Renee’s interest in beautiful handwriting and calligraphy began more than 30 years ago. She is certified as an American Cursive Handwriting instructor, who also teaches a variety of beautiful calligraphic lettering styles.

Memberships

Renee's professional memberships include the American Society of Botanical Artists, and the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists. the Colorado Calligraphers Guild, the Summit Scribes Calligraphers Guild, and the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting..
Renee’s art is enjoyed in private collections and a variety of publications for gardening communities.
